I am happy to say that I am coming out next month to test your theory "first hand" re: th quality of fishing on the "creek" in early Spring. It was a tough decision, but I guess I'll just have to suck it up and head out your way...purely in the name of science though.

Caught a some small cuts and bowns on caddis emergers and tiny PMD's. Nice color fish, good fun, good little fighters.
Watched a bat in daylight feast on small flies that we could not identify.


Day one, Camped at middle section, Bitterroot flats. Fished up a mile and down a mile with good results.
2 fish 14-18", browns caught on Montana stonefly's.
